Parmesan Crusted Chicken

π Ingredients (Serves 2)
Chicken
- Β½ lb boneless chicken breasts, pounded to even thickness
- 1 egg, beaten
- Β½ cup Panko breadcrumbs
- ΒΌ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Β½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil, for pan-frying
π³ Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
Prepare chicken:
- Pat chicken dry with paper towels
- Season with salt and pepper on both sides
Set up dredging station:
- Bowl 1: 1 beaten egg
- Bowl 2: Mix Panko, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt & pepper
Bread the chicken:
- Dip chicken in egg, then press firmly into breadcrumb-Parmesan mix to coat well on both sides
Step 2: Cook the Chicken
- Pan-fry:
- Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat
- Cook chicken 4β5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165Β°F)
- Rest for 5 minutes before serving
